Missions
Created by the Decree of 10 July 2010, the Walloon Tax and Finance Council (CFFW) is one of Wallonia’s advisory bodies. It's missions:
- Issue opinions on any draft decree and any parliamentary bill before the Walloon Parliament, as well as on any draft order of the Walloon Government likely to affect the finances of the Walloon Region and/or Walloon taxation, with the exception of the decree relating to the Walloon Region’s budget
- Assist the Government and the Minister for Budget and Finance of the Walloon Region in shaping Wallonia’s tax and financial policy, as well as its revenue policy
- Analyse the impact on Walloon taxation of measures adopted by other Belgian or European levels of government
- Formulate opinions on tax reform projects falling within the Region’s remit
- Issue opinions on tax revenue collected by other levels of government on behalf of the Walloon Region, and on tax revenue collected by the Walloon Region on behalf of other levels of government
- Prepare an annual report on the status and trends in taxation and the finances of the Walloon Region
WFE provides the secretariat for the CFFW.

How?
Requests for opinions from the CFFW must be sent to CESE Wallonia.

- CESE Wallonia forwards the request to the CFFW.
- The CFFW communicates its opinion to CESE Wallonia, which then forwards it to the Walloon Government or the President of the Walloon Parliament.
- CESE Wallonia may issue an additional opinion alongside that of the CFFW.
